I went out to Turnbull in search of elusive wildlife. Apparently there are a few Canadian
Geese this year but the ongoing loss each year is growing. Much of this is due to themassive Japanese earthquake which slightly altered earths wobble and dramatically
affected the geomagnetic field which many migratory birds and some mammals use
to guide them during migration.

Well I don't often post images with man made things in them but one
doesn't get images of wolves in the wild everyday so please excuse the
roadway. The road is the Banff Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise.
Lucy spotted this beautiful wolf in the forest along side the parkway so
we watched as he made his way along. We lost sight of him but he came
out of the trees and crossed the road in front of us. Shortly after we
meet John Marriott a well known Alberta wildlife photographer and he
identified this wolf as Spirit the alpha male of the Pipestone Pack of
Banff National Park. I have been blessed with several encounters with
wolves and it's a thrill each and very time. -Rick Price
