Westboro plans to picket Speaker Foley's memorial

They've targeted everyone from country singer Vince Gill to military funerals, Taylor Swift to Katy Perry's "Roar." Now the Westboro Baptist Church has turned their hatred against former House Speaker Tom Foley.

The church, which has gained infamy for picketing funerals of servicemen killed in action with signs that read, "Thank God for dead soldiers" and "God blew up the troops" because they believe God is punishing the United States for the "sin of homosexuality," posted a flier to its website this week saying it would be picketing Foley's memorial service Friday at Gonzaga University.

No one was saying it was an alien, but this photo has been going around again – it showed up on one of our Facebook feeds -- which is random enough since none of us is a UFO buff. But it caused at least one other publication to wonder – UFO?

We thought we’d have some fun and sent an email to NASA and had a headline in mind. … you know, we’ve all seen things in the sky that make us wonder just what the hell it could have been. And NASA takes awhile to write back sometimes …

 I remember when I took this Maple shot above in greener times. This was a good year. My sister in law was here so more chances to take pictures for the first time since I have been out of the hospital with Guillain Barre, a syndrome that came straight from Hell. 40 days I was unconscious but having hallucinations I remember to this day. Might write about it but really I would rather continue to do what I have been doing for coming in 50 years now...many of them for Sun News ComCorp a giant corporation in which I was the prime go to photographer. Even in digital I still like it...but it is expensive and we have been providing pictures and news links longer than Matt Drudge..and longer than 90 percent of colleges having come online...1992...The green is gone for the year, but it stays in photos and we shall harken back to it when the white snows fall in town here and we can get some super images, God Willing and I mean it when I say that....and a big thanks to Kathy Meader, Rick Price and Ron Rattray for all their help. Great work folks,,also a mention to Blanche Montbrousouss for her additions from time to time. We love to print her pics..and I am so thankful to call her a friend...

CHENEY, Wash.--It has not even been one year since a Cheney teenager plunged from the sky in a devastating plane crash. The young man said miracles are the only reason he is alive today.

Aiden Hubbard and his uncle crashed into a house in Western Washington in March of 2013. His uncle did not survive. Aiden told KREM 2 News that his uncle sacrificed himself so that Aiden could live.
