An Ohio boy with brain cancer has died two weeks after he came home for an early Christmas given to him by residents who put up decorations and sang carols. A family friend in Port Clinton says 13-year-old Devin Kohlman died Monday afternoon.
Doctors had told Devin's family that he didn't have long to live, so the city along Lake Erie spent the last few weeks trying to fulfill his wish of being home for his favorite holiday.

Above is your editor as a child, fishing Lake Erie with mom and dad, now both passed on. Frankly I am happy they passed before seeing me in a wheelchair. She died on Spokanes S Hill after my father died at their Fairview Park home of 45 years. Mother confided that she intensely disliked stay out on the lake all day, so she eventually left it to just dad and me.
## Bikini baristas are in the spotlight in the Spokane Valley. Tuesday night the city council discussed an ordinance setting guidelines on just how much skin they can show.

Members from the Coalition for Community Values spoke at the meeting, expressing their concern over the too-hot espresso stands.

"Flaunting their bodies in public in an area that's easily seen by youth. That high school youth can come through in their cars and get a coffee and see a nearly nude woman and go to their school sexually charged. We just felt that was wrong," said Shane Criddle.

As a young married couple, before AND after we had all of our children......we frequently BBQ'ed in Clevelands massive MetroPark system. In the case of the pic above, I was cooking my signature pork ribs. We had only one child back then. That would be Robert Junior, who years later married, moved to Oklahoma after two tours in the service, bought a home and had two of our grandkids. My I look so young back in the early 70's. The rib recipe is my own top on my BBQ list. Yummmm...

Coming off a fifth and seventh-place finish at the Big Sky Championships, the Eastern Washington University men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel south to Sacramento, Calif., for the NCAA West Regional Championships on Friday (Nov. 15). The meet will be hosted by Big Sky opponent Sacramento State and held at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.

“This is a huge meet from a competition standpoint as some of the best schools in the country will be there,” said head coach Chris Zeller. “It’s an incredibly deep and powerful meet and it will be a great environment for our athletes to be a part of.”

A shooting near a Pittsburgh high school this afternoon left three students injured and SWAT team cops searching for a gunman.Six people have been taken into custody for questioning following the shooting. Police said the five men and one woman in custody were suspects, but no one has been charged and police are still investigating the shooting.

KETTLE FALLS — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating two people of interest in connection with a bomb threat at a convenience store Friday. A man told a clerk at the Tribal Trails Noisy Waters gas station and convenience store Friday that a bomb was in the building and set to go off. The man and a woman of interest were caught on the store’s security video.

My Mantra if  you will grant me the power, I have said "Rick Price never takes a bad shot"  Rick and Kathy are both fearless and put my small flowers to shame..I choose the safety while Rick has eat gear, great ride and courage...as well as his cheerleader and one who enjoys his with, I had never mentioned this before but with all of his anecdotes and travels, some on cutting edge are worthy of listening the back story being told.

In 1979, Michael Ikeda, 54, of Burien got his license to be an X-ray technician and performed that job until he was accused of sexual misconduct at Highline Medical Center. On Nov.18, 2011, a Renton woman. Cheryl Harris-Havis, 53, alleged that Michael kissed her, exposed himself and forced her to intimately touch him during a routine procedure.

The hospital put Mr. Ikeda on administrative leave and put a lock on his locker. He was handcuffed, booked, photographed and then released.

Now two years later and after a long legal battle, Mr. Ikeda wants to restore his reputation.
