Seattle police are investigating a surreal incident after patrol
officers found a dozen bloody animal skulls on a Fremont front yard
Friday morning.
Just before 2:30 a.m., officers found the morbid display at a home on
Troll Avenue and North 36th Street, across the street from the Fremont
Troll, according to Seattle police reports.
Ten skulls adorned the front lawn, two were left on the porch and one
sat in a chair, reports say. They appeared freshly skinned.
Police knocked on the door and spoke to the two residents about the skulls. They said they had no idea why they were there.
One of the residents said he had “run off” some “neighborhood kids” the previous night and suggested they might be responsible.
