Alaska Airlines cancelled 24 flights on Sunday and Monday after flu-stricken pilots and flight attendants called in sick.
Alaska spokeswoman Bobbie Egan says about 270 passengers were affected by cancelled flights. Another 14 flights were cancelled due to bad weather on Sunday.
Egan says "a very unusual" cold and flu season hit the airlines' Pacific Northwest hub, and the entire region was affected.

It was a cold night for two skiers Saturday. A 28-year-old man and
22-year-old woman spent the night in the Evening Ridge-Hummingbird pass
back country area near Whitewater Ski Resort.
Corporal Michael Stefani says the pair reportedly took a wrong turn, then once they realized their mistake they retraced their tracks.
Nelson Search and Rescue was deployed.
Fortunately the two walked out of the backcountry around 6:30am Sunday morning without injuries.
