Rescued: 4 Wash. residents stuck in Ore. snow

Mercy Services
Throughout the year, and particularly during the holidays, the word generosity comes up again and again. Generosity comes in many forms, it can be lending a hand to your neighbor or helping families your local community. Whatever generosity means to you, residents living at Mercy Housing communities are the recipients of your generosity throughout the year.

As we approach the holiday season, we ask you to consider giving to children who access after-school programming, helping them close the gap with their peers and succeed in school. Support parents who are taking GED and ESL courses and help seniors stay healthy and active with regular health screenings. These programs are offered for free and are completely voluntary, and this is made possible by you. This holiday season we ask you to continue your generosity and invest in programming that makes Mercy Housing homes strong.

Give today and thank you for your generosity.

There is not too much happening in the west. There is not too much happening in North East Washington with the exception of snow. Of course we don't have the 3 feet of snow that they do in New York State. We do have 1 inch of snow this morning upon waking up in Cheney which is near Spokane Washington.

There will be a lot of people on the road this weekend and there is a forecast for snow. There's also a forecast for mixed rain and snow. A forecast for ice. Of course the passes will be getting more snow than the lowlands. The West plains will be getting a little bit more snow than the valley.

Weekend following this weekend of course is Thanksgiving and that comes in the week at the end of the week rather than on the weekend itself I believe you check your calendars. You can bet on there being a lot of people on the road. Thanksgiving is one of the most well-traveled holidays in America. The airlines will be loaded with people. They won't be going to the football game tomorrow or tonight whenever they're playing in Buffalo. Buffalo is due to be sucked in again tonight and if it wasn't for the drones flying overhead owned by private people we wouldn't get to see very much. They're very interesting way of getting the news.

Republic is having a Community  Christmas tree lighting coming up and that should be very exciting. I see they're having a fire which will be nice outside in the cold everybody can sit around and talk with each other have a good time and have a cup of hot cider or girl across the street to the Republic Brewery have a sifter of Xmas treat. Xmas has never been a bad word in my family. X meaning Christ actually in my in my religion in my growing up. So those that think Xmas is  pagan......Forget it.
