Okay, Tiger FANS!! Get on the bus to Pasco!!! Yes, that's right, there'll be a FAN BUS to the quarter final play-off football game this Saturday in Pasco. $10 gets you round-trip transportation to the BIG GAME. We're headed to the stomping grounds of Liberty Christian, so it's even more vital that we fill the stands with TIGER FANS!! Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call the high school office, 775-3171, to reserve your seat(s). Due to the ferry schedule, there will not be any stops along the way, so pack a lunch and plan to eat dinner at the game before the return trip home. The bus load of roarin' fans will depart from the high school parking lot at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 29 for a 4:00 p.m. game at the Edgar Brown Stadium. Call all your friends, get your orange and black on, and come cheer our Tigers LIVE!!

Vancouver: The heritage battle for Chinatown

The marketing line for the Keefer Block condo development in Chinatown is “Heritage Meets Modern.”
But just how much heritage will be left after a wave of modern developments washes over the historic district is a matter of debate.
A new proposal for the 700-block of Main Street would demolish the last three buildings from Hogan’s Alley, a once-notorious back lane that was the longtime home of Vancouver’s black community.
Another condo development at 231 Pender would replace a funky, Chinese-themed garage that is listed on Canada’s Register of Historic Places. Angelo Tosi’s family has owned their building at 624 Main since 1930. It may date back to 1895, and looks it — the fixtures and shelving are as old as the hills.
But Tosi is 82, and will probably sell when the price is right. He doesn’t expect his store to survive.

SPOKANE, Wash. - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the Winter Glow Spectacular gets set to illuminate Riverfront Park.
On the surface it's a giant holiday light show with 200 displays and enough Christmas spirit to make reindeer fly, but in truth it's the grand vision of two men looking to relive their youth.
“We have the greatest park this side of the Mississippi and it's an opportunity to utilize it during the holiday season,” Jerry Schmidt said.
Schmidt has a knack for bringing people together, having co-found both Hoopfest and Spike and Dig. He misses the holidays of yore, when the Crescent Building was aglow and children stared wide eyed at a downtown winter wonderland, so he decided to bring it back.
“I want to create memories for these people. It's opportunity to bring friends and just have the opportunity to utilize this park,” Schmidt said.
