Glacier Park awards new concession contract to Xanterra

Park officials announced Tuesday that the lucrative contract to provide visitor services inside Glacier Park has been granted to concessioner giant Xanterra Parks and Resorts Inc.
Xanterra replaces Glacier Park Inc., which held the contract since 1981.

Xanterra is owned by Philip Frederick Anschutz is an American entrepreneur. Anschutz bought out his father's drilling company, Circle A Drilling, in 1961 and earned large returns in Wyoming. He has invested in stocks, real estate and railroads. (Wiki)

Wilderness advocates battling over whether to save the ways in

Do conservationists have any right, let alone responsibility, to protect wilderness areas by working to keep people out of them? What place do roads have in or near designated wild areas? And which of those roads should be maintained, and who picks up the check?
