Big fire near Hailey, Ketchum worries officials

About 600 homes were evacuated in central Idaho as fire officials took precautions ahead of a large, unpredictable blaze burning east through sage and pine trees toward the resort communities of Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley.

Toddler Dies After Eating Liquid Laundry Packet

MIAMI (AP) - Poison control officials say a 7-month-old Florida boy has died after swallowing a liquid laundry packet.
  
The Florida Poison Information Center says this is the first death since the first reported exposure case in May 2012. The American Association of Poison Control Centers says national data for this year has not yet been compiled. However, this kind of poisoning death has not been reported in prior years.

BOISE, Idaho -

A grizzly bear bit two Bureau of Land Management contract workers in remote country in eastern Idaho but fled after one of the men doused it with pepper spray.
The encounter Thursday happened west of the Island Park Reservoir, about 35 miles from the Wyoming-Montana border and Yellowstone National Park.
