Another pedestrian fatal in less than 4 months in the Slocan Valley.. Wednesday night  a jeep travelling in the area struck a pedestrian on the roadway..Police say the driver attempted to avoid the collision but struck the 22 year old Appledale man.
In August a women was hit by a semi in Winlaw.
Area H Director Popoff agrees the roads are dark this time of year.. He says if you have to walk along any highway make sure your wearing reflective clothing.
Popoff says in the Winter  there's not much of a shoulder for pedestrians to walk on..and due to the rural area street lights are not an option.

An emergency landing was made at Spokane International Airport on Saturday morning after a 16-year-old boy died on a Delta flight from Seattle to Atlanta.
It happened after 10 a.m. Officials say the teen had an incident in-flight, and passed away despite resuscitation attempts from AMR.Passenger Suzi Tonini said about 20 minutes into the flight an announcement was made about an emergency, asking if anyone had medical experience. Tonini said they did find someone to help and there was a flurry of activity.
