"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."

For the first time in nearly two years, snow accumulated in the greater Seattle area as a warm front crashed into some colder air leftover from earlier this week.

Snow began to fall in Whatcom County just after midnight and has slowly been spreading south through the pre-dawn morning. Snow reached Snohomish County around 3 a.m., coating the ground there, and snow was just starting to fall in the Seattle-Tacoma area as the clock struck 4 a.m.

Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday night following a serious crash in north Spokane.
It happened at about 8:00pm at Nevada and Cozza just north of Francis. Spokane Police tell KHQ that a red car and a blue car were traveling northbound on Nevada at a high rate of speed when an SUV attempted to turn in front of them. The SUV was hit by the red car and the collision caused the red car to be thrown into the blue car.
The driver of the red car was taken to the hospital and we are told he is in critical condition. The driver of the blue car was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Neither of the drivers have been identified, however we are told the driver of the blue car is 19-year-old.

A man who was stayed in Missoula while on his way to Washington has been reported missing to police.
Norman Patton, 53, spent the night at a Missoula hotel on Dec. 14 and checked out on Dec. 15, Missoula Police Detective Sgt. Travis Welsh said Friday.
That was the last time friends or family heard from him, Welsh said.
Welsh reported that the man may be from South Dakota, but that was not confirmed.
