- Kristina Pizana-Brown I know a lot of people this will help. I know that with our ever changing income, this will help. Some months I have extra money so I give. Then there are those months we are anxiously awaiting payday. In those months, these food give aways help.
- Tracy Palmier No one should be judged whether they are 'in need'. Never judge a book by its cover, the ones that appear to be 'prosperous' could be the most in need.
- Scott Keyser I would assume the more "needy"... probably receive food stamps and have no or little to no job to keep themselves afoot normally.
- Val Schmoltze MacIntyre Help spread the word and post to your facebook page. This is a great resource to help ALL. Just remember to bring a box for your food!
- Shilah Moores I think Katherine's point, and my opinion as well, is if you don't really NEED it, leave it for someone who does.
- Bob Shannon WHO determines the needy, for they frequently and purposely blend in with everyone else due to embarrassment of such statements.
- Scott Keyser No offense... some of these comments seem pretty judgmental. Question, "If he can afford a cellphone, a nice car, and nice clothes, he gets turned away"? Cuz that's pretty much what I'm reading here. Not everyone hard on their luck looks like a homeless person that hasn't showered in a month. Some actually need that lil bit of food to get them to maybe their next paycheck or whatnot.
- Scott Keyser That aside, I applaud the effort of the ppl providing this lovely service, but I think I'm gonna have to step away from commenting further if this is just going to be a heated debate over whether someone "needs" something or not. Nobody knows but that ...See More
- Katherine Meade You know what? I only said that only those in need should partake. I DIDNT judge anyone and I'm sorry that it was construed as such. I realize that someone may appear to not need and others that appear to may not. I was just saying, if you DONT need, ...See More
- Shilah Moores And I said that each person knows their level of need. I don't think anyone is going to police the event and decide who needs it and who doesn't. And I agree with Katherine, if you don't need it, leave it for someone who does.

Chris, our son and VP of Apple Physical Therap was in San Diego picking up a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. On Sunday he took his wife Eiko and 2 of our grand-kids, Taisei and Kenji to the San Diego Zoo, one of the worlds largest and best. We spoke with him live through Facetime. Eventually he ran out of power then swithed to Apple Phone and sent us this picture of a tiger we had seen running a few seconds ago.. Zoos and technology are fascinating...this certainly wouldn't have happened a few years ago....

A magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck the North Bay early Sunday,
injuring more than 100 people, causing extensive damage to buildings in
downtown Napa and Vallejo and sparking a fire that destroyed four homes,
authorities said. The quake, the largest in the Bay Area since
the Loma Prieta earthquake of 1989, struck 3 miles northwest of American
Canyon at 3:20 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey said. It was felt as
far away as Chico and Fresno, the USGS said.
Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency for California and said state resources would be mustered to areas hit by the quake, including Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties.
Hardest-hit was Napa, about 6 miles northwest of the quake's epicenter. Officials at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa said 120 people had been injured and that three were in critical condition, including a boy who was hurt by debris from a chimney. The boy was airlifted from Napa to a trauma center.
