Small School - Small Picture
Ok so it was a short summer but remember we have 3 weeks of it left and anything could happen. It looks like El Nino predicted has pooped out so what comes next is anyone's guess. I'm not guessing but know this, the leaves have to change and that could take a while... and we could have a warm winter. I do know that Snowbirds don't take chances and go to S Cal or Arizona or N Mexico...big question...is it going to be safe there this year with the large influx of Hispanic speaking people. I'm saying YES, illegal immigrants do tend to have a high crime rate but thsts our fault for not paying them a working wage. Working wages keep crime down in all cultures whither Latin, Caucasian.. I cannot say oen good thing about IS formerly called ISIS. That's a bad book that looks like the trigger for the US going back into Iraq...wheres the script on that?

Investigators said Tucker told them that he only takes the pictures when he is hungover.

A group of East Bay youngsters are making sure their neighbors are ready for the next big earthquake.

Parisa Deokule, a 15-year-old team leader, said the group noticed a lot of people who did not have earthquake kits, which inspired their efforts.

"Six months back we collected some data from all of our neighbors about what materials they have to aid us during an earthquake," Parisa said.

Now, six month later, Parisa along with three other young minds are the driving force behind the earthquake emergency team in a quiet Newark neighborhood.

Parisa's father challenged her to come up with a way to organize the neighborhood in case of a disaster.

"If you could have been here a couple years back, nobody knew each other," said Nishi Deokule, Parisa's father. "But now most of the neighbors know each other.

And because of the young team, neighbors also know where to go and what to do if something major happens.

The team has a list of names, contact numbers and a list of neighborhood supplies.

Gordon Strandberg
Gordo is a great basketball player of the Curlew Cougar team which won state, Its the only time Curlew ever won and so far the last. Gordo is a landmark of Malo Washington, a man who rarely stops working on the ranch. In all my years in Curlew I never met a more honest person who doesn't lie but says what he thinks....
