Solar Update / Flare Watch
Good morning folks. Below is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Monday. Solar activity continued at high levels with at least 8 M-Class solar flares detected around region 2192 during the past 24 hours. Noteworthy events include an M7.1 flare at 00:34 UTC, and an M6.7 flare at 10:09 UTC Monday morning. Despite the ongoing flare output, we have yet to observe a substantial coronal mass ejection. The active region (2192) will remain a threat for additional moderate to strong solar flares as it gradually approaches the west limb. All other visible sunspot regions were stable. Continue to monitor SolarHam.com for the most up to date spaceweather data and imagery.

Words keeps reloading around my head like, injectable RFID chips, and ebola and a big drought in California. Right now it doesn't look like the drought in California is going to let up anytime soon. Ebola is kind of a? question mark. Doctors can't seem to agree on what the disease can do and what it can't. Can it be spread aerosol, by air? Almost everybody says no. One doctor says yes. He seems to be a little bit eccentric. There may be more of his kind and they may grow as they listen and hear what other people have to say.The United States declared itself Ebola free until another doctor walked into the hospital and said he had signs and symptom.

This photograph of the RHS football team was taken in October of 1936 at our last game of the season in Tonasket. With the approach of Veteran’s Day, I have been looking at this picture of these 18 young men and reflecting on the impact World War II had on the lives of some of them.
Three years after this photograph was taken, the war exploded in Europe on September 3, 1939. On December 7, 1941, the Pearl Harbor attack jerked the United States into the conflict.
Ted Olson, who grew up on the family ranch on Herron Creek, was killed in combat in France. His brother Arthur died in the Pacific when his Navy warship was sunk.
George Dragnich was the next to the youngest of the six Dragnich children who were all born on the family homestead near Republic. George served in the Air Force as a bomber pilot and was killed when his plane crashed in Japan.

"Lexophile" is a word used to describe those that have a love for words, such as "you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish," or "to write with a broken pencil is pointless."

A competition to see who can come up with the best lexophiles is held every year in an undisclosed location. This year's winning submission is posted at the very end.

.. When fish are in schools, they sometimes take debate.

.. A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months.

.. When the smog lifts in Los Angeles U.C.L.A.

.. The batteries were given out free of charge.

.. A dentist and a manicurist married. They fought tooth and nail.

.. A will is a dead giveaway.

.. With her marriage, she got a new name and a dress.

.. A boiled egg is hard to beat.

.. When you've seen one Shopping Center you've seen a Mall.

.. Police were called to a Day Care Center where a three-year-old was resisting a rest.

.. Did you hear about the fellow whose whole left side was cut off? He's all right now.

.. A bicycle can't stand alone; it is two tired.

.. When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.

.. The guy who fell onto an upholstery machine is now fully recovered.

.. He had a photographic memory which was never developed.

.. When she saw her first strands of grey hair she thought she'd dye.

.. Acupuncture is a jab well done. That's the point of it.

Of course this is an optical illusion? I was looking out my window and I saw some clouds. I stuck my camera out the door and there it appeared. The Cell tower looked like it went right up into the clouds. One time back when working for the newspapers I designed a page that looks like a plane was landing on the freeway. My photo editor said no Bobby. In fact towers about 2 miles from these clouds.

Today we watched a tragedy unfold on tv at Marysville high school. A young man who felt hurt and disrespected by racial slurs and heartbreak when he and his girlfriend broke up or for whatever reason he felt that this was his only recourse. Please, please, please Republic students know that you will ALWAYS have someone you can talk to and not have to resort to school violence. Talk to your parent, a friends parent, a friend, a school counselor, a religious advisor, even our law enforcement. THEY WILL LISTEN !! THEY WILL HELP YOU. Life does not have to end in tragedy. We love our school kids, be wise, be strong, be safe.
