Ezell's Famous Chicken is a household name in the Seattle area, and now they're looking to do the same thing in Spokane.
The restaurant is one of several new businesses going into the Regal Plaza at Palouse on Spokane's South Hill. The managers of the new restaurant say they're bringing something to Spokane that the city has been missing, Ezell's Famous Chicken. “Its just good food, its not complicated, its not pretentious, its got a great atmosphere,” Krystianna Livernash with Ezell's said.

This day doesn’t live in as much infamy as it used to.
Today is the 73rd anniversary of Japan’s sneak attack on the US Navy
base at Pearl Harbor, which killed 2,403 people, wounded 1,178 and took
out 21 Navy ships.
But fewer people remember — and there’s less pomp surrounding the occasion.
President Obama issued a proclamation — on Friday — declaring Sunday as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
“The men and women of the Greatest Generation went to war and braved
hardships to make the world safer, freer, and more just,” the
proclamation says.
But the president is not expected to attend any ceremonies Sunday and
has no public schedule. He also had no public schedule last Dec. 7.
In New York, flags will be flown at half-staff at government facilities.
But the ceremonies held every year are getting smaller. At the USS
Intrepid, this year’s ceremony will include a wreath laying and remarks
by Pearl Harbor survivors.
Those Martians! What cards. First they turn on jets of lights, trot
out bigfoot, lizards, faces of statues … but mocking us with a giant
landform (geoglyph!) that looks like a cookie is too much.
What. Are they calling us fat or something?
Now if they’d just pop out of their caves and wave a three-fingered
hand in front of NASA’s rover Curiosity, that’d be great. Then, we could
all just get on with our lives knowing, finally, that there’s not only
life on Mars, but life with a sense of humor. And that’d also take care
of the question of extraterrestrial life, too.
It’s a win-win deal, if you as us.

It was a story of balance for the Eastern Washington University football team as the Eagles defeated Big Sky Conference rival Montana 37-20 in a second-round game in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs Saturday (Dec. 6) at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash.
Eastern advances to host fifth-seeded Illinois State next Saturday (Dec. 13) at 1 p.m. Pacific time in the quarterfinals at "The Inferno." Illinois State was a 41-21 winner over Northern Iowa in another second-round game. The Eagles defeated the Redbirds 51-35 in Cheney in 2012, also in the quarterfinals.
The Eagles won the turnover battle 3-1, and turned a pair of Grizzly turnovers into 10 points in the second half. Eastern also used a blocked punt by senior Ronnie Hamlin to help open a 7-0 lead early in the game, and led by as many as 17. The Eagles never trailed.
