Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!

Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

Beware going up or coming down to Sherman Pass. The rain is loosening up the soil and sizable rocks are rolling out onto the road. We hit one the size of a large pumpkin, after coming around a corner tonight, that killed our van engine.

The estranged son of a 67-year-old Hawaii fisherman rescued after 12 days at sea says the ordeal has motivated him to reunite with the man after not speaking to him since the 1990s.
His father, Ron Ingraham, arrived Wednesday on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, where he lives on his boat that was towed to shore by the Coast Guard.
He was found dehydrated and hungry Tuesday after being missing since Thanksgiving, when the Coast Guard picked up his first mayday call. He radioed that he was in danger of sinking nearly 50 miles from the Big Island.

Preventing Christmas Tree Fires
Selecting a tree for the holiday.  Needles on a freshly cut tree should be green and hard to pull back from the branches; the needles should not break. A dried out tree can be identified by bouncing the tree trunk on the ground, if many needles fall off, the tree has dried out and is a fire hazard.
Caring for your tree. Before setting up your tree, cut the base at a 45-degree angle and place in water. Keep the tree stand filled with water at all times.
Place tree at least 3 feet away from heat sources. Fireplaces and heat vents, radiators, and space heaters will dry out the tree, causing it to be more easily ignited by heat, flames or sparks. Be careful not to drop or flick cigarette ashes near a tree.

After 4 years suffering in back pain with a 15 year old mattress, our second oldest son and his wife and two children bought us a new bed. It was a total surprise. My second oldest works at Sleep Country where he is an owner manager…….he was promising discounts for all this time, but it was Chris a physical therapist who did it all on his own. We were afraid we were going to have to buy it alone. Jane and I had our quiet talks. The kids knew it was old but only one could afford it and he had just found out…..he asked how the Smart Chair fund was going and I told him I was going to open a GoFundMe account as it still sits at same. He was going to contribute but went this route. May God Bless him. I an Jane are still amazed and finally sleeping. I always get this idea, and Im sure its right, that prayer is working for us…both through the whole chain from God to Jesus to Mary who watches over us and to Michael my Archangel…thanks for your prayers and for putting me in a positive thinking path..

It looks like a fish, sort of.
It swims like a fish, if you squint.
It’s even named after a fish – OK, a Disney one.
Navy war toy creators are hoping that’s enough to get the little swimmer into unwelcoming territory undetected to keep tabs on enemies and protect U.S. ships and ports from harm.
Project Silent Nemo is underway this week at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, where a team of civilian engineers and young military officers are testing the capabilities of a five-foot, 100-pound experimental robot that's designed to look and swim like a bluefin tuna.

The U.S. Navy says its new laser weapon works and it will use it if it has to.
The Office of Naval Research reported Wednesday that its laser weapons system -- dubbed LaWS -- had performed flawlessly in tests aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Ponce in the Arabian Gulf from September to November.
"Laser weapons are powerful, affordable and will play a vital role in the future of naval combat operations," Rear Adm. Matthew L. Klunder, chief of naval research, said in a statement. "We ran this particular weapon, a prototype, through some extremely tough paces, and it locked on and destroyed the targets we designated with near-instantaneous lethality."

I'm melting.
OHHHHHHH!!! NO!!! I'm going...ohhhhhhh..ohhhhhhhhhhhhh....

I also nominate Pricey McPrice for the B & W Challenge. You live in one of the most beautiful locales on the planet. This should be easy.
