Out of the ten nearest quakes to me in Spokane, eight of them are in OREGON. Normally Oregon's quake background level is low but the last few months have changed things. At least three areas of Oregon are experiencing long term swarms. It is a state to look out for....for the next <5mw earthquake, but where?

Kanye West Fans May or May Not Know Who Paul McCartney Is, Twitter Is Enraged

Kanye West celebrated the New Year by releasing a new song called "Only One," a collaboration with Paul McCartney. (McCartney used to be in a band called The Beatles, apparently – more on that later.)

Twitter jokers celebrated this track by widening a generational divide.

Shortly after the track was announced, Kanye's fans took to Twitter to seemingly express bewilderment at who West's "new" collaborator was.

One State Is About To Make It Illegal to Wear a Hoodie

In the Sooner State, right-wing lawmakers are pushing a vile response to the ongoing debate over race, crime and police killings across America: ban hoodies.
A new law proposed by Republican state senator Don Barrington called Senate Bill 13 would enable police to issue tickets of up to $500 to people attempting to conceal their identity in public "by means of a robe, mask or other disguise." It also opens the possibility that violators could be subject to "imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not exceeding one (1) year."
The penalties would apply to anyone caught wearing such concealing clothing during the commission of a crime, or much more troublingly, to anyone identified as attempting to remain anonymous in public, a broad and vague descriptor that experts believe could lead to various problems.

I'm trying to send a link to out-of-town friends about the 1/10 Ski Day (article in The View Extra, page 3). They don't do Facebook. Even so, the Ferry County Rail Trail website and Facebook page don't feature it. And the Ferry County View website is currently inaccessible. The Spokeman Review has articles from prior years, and The Spokane Parks and Recreation doesn't have anything about it. Just The View Extra, but there's a problem accessing their website! Any suggestions finding a link?
