Microsoft co-founder and Seahawks owner Paul Allen's waterfront estate on the west side of Mercer Island, which he began assembling in 1985, has an assessed value north of $25 million. Apparently, he thinks that entitles him to a plot of Lake Washington, too, or so a local power boater believes after being accused of trespassing in front of Allen's mansion during a recent evening cruise.
According to boater Marty Oppenheimer, a resident of Seward Park, "We were slowly cruising south along Mercer Island from the home of a friend...to south of the Paul Allen compound. We were inside the buoys which demarcate a zone [extending 100 yards offshore] for traveling at a speed below 8 mph (7 knots). As we neared the Paul Allen floating helipad...a security guy came out on the helipad and informed us that we had crossed a property line and were trespassing on private property."

LONDON — Motorists may want to think twice about parking in front of the half-built London skyscraper known as the Walkie-Talkie.

That’s because the glare off the skin of the new building is so intense that at least one Jaguar owner says it caused part of his vehicle to melt. And that’s not all: Locals say the building’s heat also burned a hole in the welcome mat of a barber shop across the street.

“We were working and just saw the smoke coming out of the carpet,” said shop owner Ali Akay. “This is a health and safety issue. They should have looked into this before they built it.”
SEATTLE (AP) - A motorcyclist survived a lightning strike in western Washington as a tumultuous day of weather saw thunderstorms and rain roll through the state on both sides of the Cascade Mountains.

Washington State Patrol Trooper William Finn says the biker was driving on Interstate 5 through the town of Chehalis when the lightning hit Thursday.

Witness Martin Zapalac told KOMO-TV the man had just passed him when he and his bike "lit up." The biker managed to pull over on the highway shoulder, and the witness drove with him to a nearby gas station. http://www.khq.com/story/23358784/washington-motorcyclist-survives-lightning-strike
When Rick Price says gone fishing, he  means it. An early morning startoff with two rods behind. Are the drinking Slurpees? Nope they are taking pictures. If you see a person with a camera around their neck during most waking hours...that person is a pro.. and as far as fishing goes...
